In 2020, Tulsiram Regmi watched in despair as farmers in his village burned mountains of dry vegetable waste after harvest season. Cauliflower stems, spinach stalks, bitter gourd vines — all reduced to ash and CO₂.

But Tulsiram saw something different. He saw fiber. He saw texture. He saw the raw material for products that could replace the plastic cluttering Nepal's rivers and streets.

After months of experimentation, the first eco slipper made from dried cauliflower fiber emerged from a small workshop in Sainamaina-11, Rupandehi — just kilometers from Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha.

Today, Eco Dosti Nepal employs over 200 local artisans, has recycled 500+ kg of agricultural waste, and ships beautiful, sustainable products to homes across Nepal.
